We're turning and earning!

The turbines began generating electricity into the grid on February 20 - a much-anticipated moment and the crowning achievement of ten years hard slog (almost to the day). The sky is no longer the limit!

Official Opening

About 150 locals and invited guests braved damp and blustery conditions on Sunday 17 March to help celebrate the official opening, which was formalised by the 'cutting' of a giant green ribbon around one of the turbines.

Among those attending were several people who helped kickstart the project back in 2003, who came from far and wide to share the moment, and were genuinely moved by seeing the dream they helped create become a reality at last.
